  • Bhasma Aarti begins at 4 am, for which you can book online permission here. Be there by 3:30 am if you don't want to miss this beautiful prayer ceremony.
  • To attend the Aarti, men must wear a dhoti and carry their own Lota (pot) to do Jal Abhishek (worshipping with water). Women are not allowed into the inner sanctum of the temple but they must also be dressed in saree.
  • Try enjoying different Poha breakfasts around Ujjain City, on the different days of your stay. Ujjain is a city of temples and there are ancient temples in every other lane. But if you are on a short visit, you must draw a shortlist of the main 3-4 temples so that you don't miss the main ones.
