Day 1 - Reach Kathgodam and travel to Bhimtal (Nainital)

Visit the Bhimeshwar Mahadev Temple, The temple is situated in Bhimtal and is one of ancient temples built in the 17th century by king Baaz Bahadur.
- This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and according to mythology it is believed that the hero of the Mahabharata, Bhim came to this place during the visit of the Himalayas, which gives the temple its name.

Day - 2 Local Sightseeing around Bhimtal and Visit to Mukteshwar
Have your breakfast at the hotel & get ready to explore some tremendous local sightseeing around Bhimtal, located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and famous for its marvellous lake views and peaceful forest surrounding the lake. You can spend the day doing all what you like.
- Travel to Sattal: Be mesmerised by the breathtaking sights at Sattal. Distance from Bhimtal to Sattal is 14 km.
There are 7 lakes in Sattal which are called Ramtal, Seetatal, Lakshmantal, Bharattal, Hanumantal, Garudatal etc.
- Out of these 7 tals, only Ramtal and Seetatal are located in close vicinity of each other and the rest are a little far away from each other.

Sattal Lake

- There are two major tourist spots-:
- One is the waterfall and another is Hidimba Temple which is about 1.5 kms from the KMVN guest house. One has to trek to reach there as well.
- Hidimba Temple – The trek to Hidimba Devi Temple is steep & narrow. There is greenery all around and it takes almost 40 minutes to reach the temple.
- Since the primeval period, this mountain has been called as the Hidimba Mountain. Goddess Hidimba meditated first at this place and then went for further meditation in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Here you get a potato dish called as aloo ke gutke is a very popular dish given as prasad.

Enjoying Food near Sattal Lake
Later you can proceed to Naukuchiatal- 20 km from sattal.
- A beautiful and small town famous for its lake, ’a nine cornered one’ because of which it got its name as Naukuchiatal. It is surrounded by hills on all sides and situated at more than 1200 m above sea level. This place is the most preferable picnic spot for tourists because there are clouds above for the beautiful scenic view.
- Naukuchiatal Lake is such a beautiful place to spend time walking around the lake or taking a boat ride or just simply sitting down and admiring the beauty of this breathtaking place. You can head out to explore the treasures of Naukuchiatal.
- Boating options are also available, for example Rs. 300 for a pedal boat and a boat accommodating 4-5 people costs about Rs. 500. The round trip takes 40-45 minutes.
- One can also consider some other activities such as camping, bird watching and adventure sports.
Shri Hanuman Temple - On the way to Bhimtal from Naukuchiatal, there is a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman on the left side of the road where one can see the huge Statue of Lord Hanuman.

It is believed to be one of the 18 important Lord Shiva Temples. Devotees after paying obeisance at the temple, meditate at this place and it is truly a vital place for worship.

Then you can step forward to Chauli ki Jali – Chauli Ki Jali also known as Chauthi Jali is a visitor’s attraction located behind the cliff of Mukteshwar temple. It is located at a distance of 250 metres from the Mukteshwar temple. One should definitely not miss the sunrise and sunset views at Chauli ki Jali.
- Chauli ki Jali is a favourite among the adventurous and the trekker's lovers. Trekking, Rock climbing, and Mountaineering are one of the famous tourist activities here along with various adventure sports too which is sure to give one some adrenaline rush.
